After trying various farming techniques, we concluded that there is no “one size fits all” approach to farming.

As a result, we draw knowledge from as many sources as possible and use relevant to our specific situation.

The following articles introduce some techniques we combine and use on our farm.

We are constantly adding new articles to the site. You can find them, all in one place, using the link below:

Basic Hand Tools

Having the correct tools will make a world of difference in your productivity. However, you do not need the most expensive means to get started.

Here is a list of the essential hand tools we use on the farm daily.

  • Garden Fork
  • Shovel
  • Rake
  • Machete (Cutlass)
  • Punning Saw
  • Pruning Sears
  • Lopper
  • File

The best tools to buy are those you can afford that will get the job done when getting started. You can always upgrade later.

In most cases, you can find generic hand tools in the garden department of local hardware or agriculture stores.

More To Come

We look forward to sharing our knowledge and experience with you as the project evolves.
